Your Professional Velvet Dress Manufacturer
We have been making dresses in our own factory since 2007. Our team handles pattern making, sampling, cutting, sewing, pressing, and final inspection. The production team stays involved throughout the order and checks the details as the work moves from one stage to the next.
With velvet, we pay particular attention to the fabric direction, color, stitching, fit, and pressing. These details can make a noticeable difference to the finished dress.
As a professional dress manufacturer, we also work with smaller orders, including low MOQ projects for startups and growing brands. Before bulk production starts, we confirm the production schedule and let you know if anything comes up that could affect the timing.
The same team can handle your order from sampling through bulk production and shipment. Send us your design, tech pack, or reference sample, and we can go through the details before making the first sample.

For velvet dress orders, we still carry out our own fabric, workmanship, and final inspections during production. The certifications are part of our factory management, while the day-to-day QC team checks each order against the approved sample and production requirements.

Custom logos, patches and other embroidery details can be added according to the design.
We can handle custom polybags, hangtags, barcode labels and other packing requirements.
Quality Control for Velvet Dresses
Velvet is one of the fabrics we check more carefully during production. The direction of the nap needs to stay consistent, and pressing has to be handled properly to avoid visible marks on the fabric.
Our QC team normally checks the fabric shade, nap direction, measurements, stitching, seams, zippers, lining, and pressing during production. We also check the finished dress against the approved sample before packing.
When the same style is made in different colors, we check each color separately. For larger orders, the team also keeps an eye on size measurements and finishing so the garments stay consistent throughout the production.

OEM and ODM Velvet Dress Manufacturing
If you already have a design or tech pack, we can make the velvet dress based on your specifications and approved sample.
If you are still developing the style, you can send us a sketch, reference photo, or sample. We can then discuss the fabric, construction, measurements, and other details before making the first sample.
Depending on the project, we can handle:
- Pattern making
- Fabric sourcing
- Sample development
- Size grading
- Custom colors
- Private labels
- Custom packaging
- Bulk production
Velvet Fabric Sourcing for Your Brands
The right velvet depends on the style, fit, and construction of the dress. Different fabrics will also give the finished garment a different weight, stretch, texture, and appearance.
For velvet, we also check the nap direction because it can affect how the color and surface look under different lighting.
We commonly work with:
- Stretch Velvet
- Crushed Velvet
- Burnout Velvet
- Micro Velvet
- Cotton Velvet
- Polyester Velvet
- Velvet Blends
Before production, we can check the fabric composition, weight, stretch, color, hand feel, and surface. If needed, we can also arrange fabric samples for you to check before the bulk fabric is ordered.

Velvet Dress Sampling for Approval
Before bulk production, we make a sample so you can check how the velvet dress actually fits and looks.
The sample can be checked for:
- Fit and measurements
- Fabric feel and behavior
- Sewing and construction
- Lining
- Zippers and closures
- Sleeve shape
- Hem finishing
- Overall appearance
If anything needs to be changed, you can send us your comments and we will make the necessary adjustments before bulk production. Once the sample is approved, we use it as the reference for the bulk order.
Why Brands Choose Our Velvet Dress Factory
Our sample room has 15 pattern makers and 35 sample sewers working on new styles every day. They handle pattern adjustments, fit checks, and sample revisions based on each customer’s specifications.
We develop more than 100 new dress styles each month, covering maxi, midi, mini, and other dress categories. This allows us to work on different designs at the same time and support brands with regular new product development.
We work with startup brands, retailers, wholesalers, and buying teams. From the first sample to bulk production, our team stays involved throughout the process and keeps the production details clear.

What Matters When Making Velvet Dresses
Velvet needs careful handling during cutting, sewing, and pressing. The nap direction should be kept consistent across the garment, especially when several panels are joined together.
Fabric stretch also affects the fit. For fitted styles, we check the fabric recovery and adjust the pattern when necessary.
Pressing is another point we pay attention to. Too much heat or pressure can change the surface of velvet, so the finishing method needs to match the fabric.
MOQ for Velvet Dresses
Our usual MOQ starts at 50–100 pieces per style and color. The actual quantity can vary depending on the fabric, construction, and order requirements.
If you are testing a new velvet style, let us know the quantity you have in mind. We can check the fabric and production details with you before the order is confirmed.
For new brands, starting with a smaller run can be a practical way to test a style before placing a larger repeat order.
Bulk Velvet Dress Production
Once the sample is approved, we use it together with the production specifications as the reference for the bulk order.
The garments then move through cutting, sewing, inspection, pressing, and finishing. Our QC team checks measurements, stitching, construction, and the overall appearance during production. If something does not match the approved sample, the production team checks it and makes the necessary correction before packing.
Before shipment, the finished dresses are inspected again and checked against the order details.
Private Label Dress Manufacturing
If you have your own clothing brand, we can make the velvet dresses with your branding and packaging.
Depending on your requirements, we can arrange woven or printed labels, care labels, hangtags, size labels, and custom packaging. You can send us your existing label files or packaging specifications, and we can check the details before production.
The dresses are made according to your approved design and sample, rather than selected from a standard factory collection.
Work With an OEM Clothing Manufacturer
If you are ordering velvet dresses along with other clothing styles, working with one OEM factory can make the production easier to manage.
You can discuss different styles, fabrics, labels, and packaging with the same team instead of coordinating several suppliers. This also makes it easier to keep production details and delivery schedules organized across different orders.
What to Check Before Placing an Order
When choosing a clothing manufacturer, product photos only tell you part of the story. It is also worth asking how the factory handles fabric, samples, bulk production, quality checks, and delivery.
Before placing an order, you can ask about the MOQ, sample process, production time, packaging, and how the team communicates during production. These things can make a big difference once the order is actually running.
A factory may have good-looking samples, but the way it handles the production after you place the order is just as important.
Our 5-Step Custom Velvet Dress Production Process

Send us your tech pack, sketch, reference photo, or existing sample.

We make the first sample and confirm the main fabric, measurements, construction, and finishing details

You review the sample and send us any changes before bulk production.

Once the sample and bulk fabric are approved, we move the order into cutting and production.

The finished dresses are inspected, packed according to the order requirements, and prepared for shipment.
Our Velvet Dress Manufacturing Advantages
Our 5,000㎡ factory is equipped with over 750 workers, 500 sewing machines, and 5 automatic cutting lines. Our production team manages the main processes, including cutting, sewing, finishing, and quality inspection for different dress styles.
With this production capacity, we can support both smaller production runs and larger orders. Each order is scheduled based on the style, quantity, fabric requirements, and delivery timeline to keep production running smoothly.
As a direct manufacturer, we manage the main production steps in our own facility, including pattern making, cutting, sewing, finishing, and quality inspection. We also work closely with fabric suppliers to source materials based on your fabric requirements, target quality, and budget.
By keeping the key production steps under our control, we can better manage quality, production details, and costs. Quotations are prepared based on the actual fabric, construction, order quantity, and finishing requirements of each project.
We work with both emerging and established fashion brands and support smaller production runs starting from around 50 pieces per style. This allows new brands and boutique labels to test designs, check market response, and adjust future orders based on actual demand.
Before production starts, we confirm the key details, including style, fabric, color, size range, and quantity. If adjustments are needed after the first production run, we can review the feedback and make improvements for the next order.
Our design and pattern team works with customers on new styles from the first sketch or reference. If you already have a clear design, we can develop the pattern and sample from your specifications. If you only have a photo or basic idea, we can discuss the construction, fabric, and fit before making the first sample.
We also keep customer designs and production information confidential. Your tech packs, samples, patterns, and other project details are handled as private production information and are not shared with other customers.

Cutting room & QC inspection

Fabric Pre-shrinking Workshop & Automatic Template Machine Workshop

Cutting Room & Fabric warehouse
Before bulk production starts, we check the velvet fabric for color, surface marks, weight, and other issues that could affect the finished dress. For new styles, we also make a pre-production sample to check the fit, construction, and sewing details before moving into bulk production.
This gives our team a chance to make any necessary adjustments early and helps avoid problems later in the order. The workshop photos below show the main steps from fabric preparation through to packing and shipment.

 Fabric Warehouse
All fabrics are stored in our warehouse with clear labeling and batch records. Before cutting begins, our team checks fabric details including quantity, color, and quality condition to make sure each material meets the production requirements. This helps us maintain stable quality and reduce material issues during custom dress manufacturing. The fabric team records incoming materials before production scheduling begins.
↓

Fabric Inspection
Each fabric roll is inspected by our QC team before entering production. We check color differences, weaving defects, stains, and fabric condition to make sure materials meet production requirements for OEM & ODM orders. This step is especially important for fabrics with satin, silk, or delicate surfaces, where small defects can affect the final appearance of the garment.
↓

Fabric Pre-shrinking
After fabric inspection, selected fabrics go through a pre-shrinking process before cutting. This helps control shrinkage after washing and improves measurement consistency across bulk OEM & ODM orders.
↓

Automatic Cutting
Our computerized cutting machines help maintain accurate pattern cutting and consistent measurements across bulk production. By improving fabric usage and reducing cutting errors, we support efficient OEM & ODM garment manufacturing.
↓

Bulk production Sewing
Skilled sewing operators follow approved samples and production requirements during garment assembly. Regular checks on stitching and construction details help maintain consistent workmanship throughout OEM & ODM bulk production.
↓

In-line Inspection
From sewing to finishing, our QC team checks garment details, measurements, and workmanship during production. Early inspections help reduce rework and maintain stable quality throughout bulk manufacturing.
↓

In-line Pressing
After garment assembly, each piece is pressed during production to remove wrinkles, shape key areas, and improve seam appearance. The pressing stage prepares garments for final inspection and packing before bulk shipment.
↓

Final Pressing
Before packing, garments are pressed one last time to smooth seams, shape key areas, and improve the final look. After pressing, our team checks garment details before shipment.
↓

Final Inspection
Before loading, our QC team inspects finished garments for size, stitching, appearance, labels, and packing condition. After final checks are completed, orders are prepared for shipment.
↓

Garment Packing
After inspection, our packing team folds and packs finished garments following each order’s instructions. Labels, tags, and barcode details are checked before cartons are sealed and prepared for shipment.
↓

Finished Products
Before loading, our warehouse team checks finished garments by style, color, and size. Carton quantities, labels, and packing details are confirmed before orders leave the factory.
↓

Container Loading
After packing is completed, our warehouse team loads cartons into containers and checks the stacking order before shipment. Proper carton placement helps prevent damage and keeps orders in good condition during transportation.

Have a Velvet Dress Project to Develop?
Send us your tech pack, sketch, reference photo, or existing sample. We can check the fabric, construction, measurements, MOQ, and production requirements before sampling.
If you are still working out the details, that’s fine too. Send us what you have and we can go through the main production points with you first.
For a quotation, please send your design, quantity, fabric preference, colors, size range, and any label or packaging requirements you already have. A tech pack is helpful if you have one. If some details are still open, that is fine. Send us what you have first, and we can confirm the missing points with you.
Yes. Many new brands start with a sketch, reference photo, existing garment, or a simple design idea. We can review the style with you and point out the details that need to be confirmed, such as fabric, measurements, construction, and finishing. You do not need a finished tech pack just to start the discussion.
MOQ depends on the style, fabric, color, and total quantity. We normally look at the actual project before confirming the MOQ. Start from 50-100pcs per color per style. If you are a startup or launching a new collection, just tell us how many pieces you are planning to make. We can check what works for your style and fabric instead of giving you a fixed number.
Yes. We can work with your own woven labels, hangtags, care labels, size labels, packaging, and other branding materials. If you are developing a private label collection, send us your branding requirements along with the garment details so we can check everything before bulk production.
Send us your fitting comments after you receive the sample. You can mark the areas that need changing or provide measurements and photos. Our pattern team can then check the fit, including the bust, waist, neckline, sleeve, length, and overall balance, and make the necessary adjustments before bulk production.
Yes. We can produce different styles within the same collection, such as velvet mini dresses, midi dresses, maxi dresses, slip dresses, bodycon dresses, cocktail dresses, and evening dresses. If several styles use similar fabrics or colors, developing them together can also make fabric sourcing and production easier to manage.
We check the garments during production, not only when the order is finished. Fabric and cutting are checked before sewing, while measurements, stitching, garment appearance, pressing, and finishing are checked during production and before packing. If we find an issue, we can deal with it at the production stage instead of waiting until the final inspection.
Normal bulk production for velvet dresses takes around 25–30 days after the sample, fabric, and production details are confirmed. The actual time can vary depending on the order quantity, fabric availability, and style. Once everything is approved, we will confirm the production schedule with you before starting bulk production.
Yes. We work directly with startups as well as established fashion brands. You can discuss the design, fabric, sampling, quantity, and production plan with our team from the beginning. For a new brand, it is better to tell us your target quantity and launch date early so we can suggest a practical production plan for your collection.
